Artist Terms
ARTIST TERMS
1. Applications and activation Applying to True Son Media LLC is free. An application does not guarantee acceptance. After owner approval and acceptance of the approved Artist Agreement, a one-time $25 activation payment is required. There is no additional registration fee for future release submissions. Activation, selling and payouts are available only after the applicable account and payment requirements are satisfied.
2. Ownership and rights Artists retain ownership of their music and other submitted material. Artists must have the rights and permissions needed for every recording, composition, performance, sample, beat, artwork and other element they submit. True Son Media may request supporting permissions. Submission and approval do not transfer copyright or certify that all rights have been cleared.
For approved material, artists grant True Son Media a nonexclusive permission to store, reproduce for technical delivery, encode, display approved artwork and information, stream authorized previews and full audio, and deliver authorized purchases. This permission is limited to operating the platform and honoring completed purchases. It does not authorize unrelated licensing, ownership claims or AI-model training. Separate promotional uses remain subject to the applicable separate consent.
3. Release review Every release is reviewed by True Son Media before publication. Artists cannot self-publish or self-approve. True Son Media may request corrections or restrict publication for rights violations, unlawful material or violations of applicable platform terms. Removing content from new sales does not authorize destruction of protected purchase access, financial records or agreement history.
4. Individual music sales and customer prices True Son Media charges 0% sales commission on individual artist music sales. The artist is credited with 100% of the listed music base price, subject to verified refunds, disputes and adjustments. The required customer transaction fee is $0.50 plus 8% of the music subtotal, charged once per order under the current single-release or single-track checkout. The displayed customer total includes that required fee upfront. Applicable government tax is calculated separately. Customer transaction fees and collected tax are not artist music revenue.
5. Artist fan subscriptions Fan subscriptions are separate from individual music purchases and general site memberships. True Son Media receives 20% of verified base fan-subscription revenue and the artist receives 80%, excluding tax and subject to verified refunds, disputes and adjustments. No additional direct-music-sales transaction fee or stacked platform commission applies to fan subscriptions. Only the approved plan's included content and benefits are covered. Subscription access does not transfer ownership of recordings or automatically grant purchased-file download rights.
The plan must disclose its price, billing frequency, included access and cancellation terms before enrollment, with the required affirmative consent. Fans can request cancellation through their account. Cancellation stops future renewal according to the confirmed provider cancellation status; access ordinarily continues through the paid period. Cancellation is distinct from a refund. Applicable consumer rights and the separately approved fan-subscription and refund terms remain controlling.
6. Earnings and payouts The approved payout policy includes a seven-calendar-day eligibility waiting period, a $10 minimum and a 0% platform reserve. Eligibility is separate from a transfer or bank-arrival date. Transfers depend on verified payment, an eligible live Stripe Connect account, sufficient available funds and enabled payout operations. The platform records daily cadence; actual automatic transfers follow the artist's saved supported payout preference. Daily bank receipt is not guaranteed. Optional accelerated payouts are available only when supported, with their applicable charges disclosed before the request.
Artists must provide accurate payout-onboarding information and maintain the required verification. Payment-provider verification or tax reporting does not remove either party's applicable tax, recordkeeping or reporting obligations.
7. Refunds and disputes Provider-confirmed refunds, disputes and chargebacks reverse the corresponding artist earnings. If earnings were already paid out, the approved policy offsets those amounts against future artist earnings. An outstanding obligation is not erased merely because future earnings are insufficient; further resolution remains subject to the approved agreement and applicable law. These terms do not authorize an automatic bank debit, a new collection fee or an unconditional refund promise. Related access changes follow the verified payment lifecycle and applicable consumer rights.
8. Accounts, records and changes Artists must keep account information accurate and use only authorized uploads and access. True Son Media may restrict selling or account access for material rights, safety or legal violations while preserving protected records and completed-purchase obligations. No earnings, promotion or audience growth is guaranteed. Material changes to commercial terms require the applicable notice and acceptance process. These terms do not create employment, transfer music ownership or waive mandatory consumer rights. Questions and account issues can be raised through the site's support channel.
Fan-subscription processing costs: ordinary payment-processing costs are borne from True Son Media's 20% platform share. No additional ordinary processing deduction is taken from the artist's 80% fan-subscription share.
