Artist Revenue & Payout Terms
ARTIST REVENUE & PAYOUT TERMS
1. Individual music sales Artists receive a ledger credit for 100% of the listed music base price. True Son Media's commission on individual music sales is 0%. The customer transaction fee of $0.50 plus 8% of the music subtotal is separate from artist revenue and is included in the displayed customer total. Applicable government tax is separate. Customer fees and collected tax are not artist earnings.
2. Fan subscriptions Artist fan subscriptions are separate from individual purchases and general site memberships. True Son Media receives 20% of verified base fan-subscription revenue; the artist receives 80%, excluding tax and subject to verified refunds, disputes and adjustments. No additional direct-sales transaction fee or stacked platform commission applies. These terms do not introduce an undisclosed deduction for provider charges.
3. Verified earnings and eligibility Earnings are recorded only after a verified payment event matches the transaction, artist and payment environment. A checkout success screen or an unpaid order is not proof of payment. Sandbox payments do not create real artist income. Earnings can be pending, available/payable, scheduled, paid or reversed/adjusted.
The approved policy has a seven-calendar-day eligibility waiting period, a $10 minimum payout and a 0% platform reserve. The waiting period is distinct from the transfer schedule and bank arrival. Provider restrictions, unsettled funds, refunds, disputes and required withholding can affect the amount available. A 0% platform reserve does not remove restrictions imposed by the provider.
4. Transfer schedules and verification The platform records daily payout cadence. Automatic transfers follow the artist's saved supported payout preference; daily bank receipt is not guaranteed. Transfers require enabled payout operations, sufficient available funds and an eligible verified live connected account. A platform transfer to a Stripe connected account is distinct from Stripe depositing money in a bank.
Artists must complete and maintain the required Stripe-hosted identity, business, tax and banking verification. API access or a sandbox test does not guarantee live-account eligibility. Artists are responsible for accurate information, their own records and applicable tax/reporting obligations. Neither party's legal obligations disappear because a payment provider performs verification or reporting.
5. Refunds, disputes and negative balances Provider-confirmed refunds, disputes and chargebacks reverse the related artist earnings. Duplicate provider notices must not cause duplicate reversals or payments. After earnings have been paid, the approved recovery policy deducts the reversed artist amount from future artist earnings. If future earnings are insufficient, the outstanding balance remains subject to the approved agreement, review and applicable law; it is not automatically forgiven.
These terms do not authorize an automatic bank debit, a new collection charge or an unconditional refund. Subscription cancellation and a refund are separate events. Applicable consumer rights and the approved refund policy control refund eligibility. Access changes follow the verified payment lifecycle.
6. Optional accelerated payouts Cash-out and instant-payout options are available only when enabled and supported for the artist's live account. Any applicable charge must be disclosed before the artist requests the option. These terms do not select an unresolved fee payer, guarantee eligibility or promise instant arrival. Regular payout access does not depend on an optional instant feature.
7. Records and corrections Artists can review the transaction and payout records available in their dashboard and raise discrepancies through support. Protected purchase, payment, agreement and audit history must be retained as required. Changes to commercial rules require the applicable notice and approval process. Saving or approving these terms alone does not send funds or activate payout operations.
Fan-subscription processing costs: ordinary payment-processing costs are borne from True Son Media's 20% platform share. No additional ordinary processing deduction is taken from the artist's 80% fan-subscription share.
